NGO-ISAC is a pioneering organization focused on enhancing the cybersecurity posture of non-governmental organizations worldwide but aimed primarily at US based NGOs. We provide a community for the sharing of threat intelligence, best practices, and collaborative defense strategies against cyber threats. Our mission is to create a secure digital environment that enables NGOs to focus on their critical humanitarian, environmental, and social missions without the risk of cyber disruption.

The Role
​
​We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Membership Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves managing our member relations, coordinating membership activities, and supporting the Membership & Community Operations Director with special projects and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team to drive NGO-ISAC's mission forward.
Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for NGO-ISAC members, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction and engagement.

Coordinate membership recruitment and retention efforts with membership director and other NGO-ISAC staff, including onboarding and invoicing new members, maintaining member databases, and conducting outreach campaigns.

Organize and support events and meetings, including webinars, workshops, and conferences, both virtual and in-person.

Support the scheduling and management of weekly briefings hosted by the NGO ISAC.

Assist with the preparation and organization for the NGO-ISAC annual conference.

Assist with the development and dissemination of member communications, including our monthly newsletter, bulletins, and updates in email and our online community.

Support the Membership Director and other senior leadership with special projects, research, and administrative tasks to advance NGO-ISAC's strategic objectives.

Facilitate collaboration between member organizations, fostering a vibrant community focused on cybersecurity resilience.

Prepare reports and presentations on membership trends, activities, and feedback to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are desirable. 4 years experience in related work can substitute for a degree.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in membership management, community management, or a similar role, preferably within a nonprofit or association setting.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a flair for engaging diverse audiences.

Proficiency in using association or membership management tools such as CRM software, AMS, etc.

Proficiency with standard office productivity tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.

Experience supporting senior executives and managing confidential information is a plus.

While the exact travel requirements are going to be reflective of organization initiatives, fundraising needs, events, and other needs of NGO-ISAC, it should be assumed that anyone in this position is able to travel at least monthly.
